Clutch slipping

I was out at the track on Saturday and on the first lap of each session my clutch was slipping quite badly. It seemed to hook up okay for the rest of each session.
I'm running mineral oil, lubed the cable and had the correct free play adjustment.
Can someone recommend a reasonably priced / time effective fix before I start pulling it appart?

Try a different type of oil. Last time I had that problem a change of oil sorted it. I use the Halfords motorcycle gearbox oil and that cured it and it's never slipped again.

If it perisists then strip the clutch out and check for wear on the teeth of the large thrust washer at the back of the clutch basket.

Okay, I'll try to get my hands on some Halfords oil. If that doesn't work I'll pull the clutch out and replace the thrust washer along with anything else that is worn.

only problem is a new thrust washer is nla

i know,i tried to get one. in the end,i turned the washer around,as it wears on one side. and it works fine now

still woud,nt mind a new one ,.but like alot of bits, cant get them anymore

Is that washer part no. 92022-1109 (25.3x33x1) ?

If its just a plain washer i could machine some up and harden them.
