rear spring

Post by JanBros »

compared to modern stuff, the original rear suspension of our KR's ain't much.

But it's still a lot better than the "Chinese junk" on my pitbike
And since my "junk" decided to brake into 2 pieces last sunday :-k , I had to thinck off something different.

So I putted a KR suspension in it , and in it's new life, it feels like my pitbike is now equipped with an Öhlins 8) :

only the spring is just a bit too soft. anybody that has a slightly stiffer spring lying arround that they don't use and wanna sell?

sorry jan, only have a std one lying around. yoursa for bugger all if you want it. pit bike looks kinda trick with its cut slick type tyres. good valuer for monet these things, but as you know at the cost of quality in certain areas. im led to think the engines in most of em are quite strong though?

bought it a couple off years ago on ebay germany for about 500 euro's, and the quality was actually quiet good. the broken suspension is the first real problem I've had with it.

changed some things though to make it better. sold the 125 and put in a 140cc, put on a real oil cooler and changed lot's off "bolds" for bolds that can actually withstand forces

tyres are ordinary Michelins for scooters

big fun on Kart-circuits \:D/ . Had my share off crashes and accidents over the years with motorbikes (counter is at 18 at the moment  ) and with a wife and 2 kids, I now always keep some reserve . these little things are nowadays the only bikes I really push to the limit, and over O:) speed is a lot less, and the altitude when you fall is also lower
