Finally:

1. My kr1S is running, powervalves OK, CDI, reg/rec ok
2. body epoxied and painted
3. the sun is shining after working hours
4. the temperature stays above freezing

this means: KR-time! =D>

here she is:

Not the original colors, but a more modern color scheme. I like it a lot!

the black line on the tail makes the tail look leaner.
The black on the front fender makes it look shorter.

The black exhaust makes it look like it was trying to hide the corrosion (Indeed)

There is no dent in the fuel-tank. It's reflection.

You're right... :( I bought her 2 years ago, seller told me it was a KR-1S. :^o I even bought KR-1S brakediscs for her #-o , but they (obviously) didn't fit. I have a KR-1S (1287) CDI in her now, so you might say she has KR-1S brains. :) powervalves are also KR-1S and I'm planning to get a KR-1S laser exhaust sometime. My brother got me this home-made KR-1S sticker-set for my birthday... I just refuse to call her KR-1 [-( , but you're right..

:-$ don't tell anyone else, okay? 8-[

sorry, I used up all your smileys... All these animating characters next to my message are tempting my mind...

Yep mj's right pfm's cast iron jobbies, think they are about £400.00 a set bloody awsome combined with "blade" calipers" one finger braking feels a bit like this ](*,) best not to leave them out in the rain though!

hmm i have to get up close and double check then, are they stamped PFM?
mine are rusty which i thought was odd for standard disks

worth fitting to a KR1-S rim with standard calipers?

the frame is always the instant give away for the kr1.
you can swap wheels, brakes, forks. . .etc but the frame never lies

To be honest: I really like the looks of the KR-1 frame more than the polished flat frame of the KR-1S. Maybe I'll get a front fork from a KR-1S some time to fit some real brakediscs and calipers.

I found the picture of the magazine The paintjob was copied from:

Quality job, that's for sure.
I kinda agree with Dave about it looking mismatched, but the more I look at it, the more I think it's the decals that somehow make it look odd.
Mind you, I'd still proud as heck if it were my bike. =D> =D>
You mentioned that it has KR1S powervalves, I take it that you have KR1S barrells on it as well?

Indeed it dosn't lie. I picked up what is to become my track bike (no plastics, and engine seized) quite cheap because the guy thought it was a KR1.
