imo definitly yes. properly serviced kr1s calipers with good sintered pads are among the best on any proddy 250. add ductile rotors/radial master cylinder and appropiate pads then double the effect and add some. i think the main benefit from the blade calipers is more than likely in better fettle (newer) and lighter, maybe? nothing wrong at all with kr1s/zx9r?/zxr400/750 calipers
