so it moves on a bit further fitted a hugger not normally my thing but do think it works on this
had a lot of trouble finding anyone who could supply a screen for the fairing had to make a h***a rs 2001 fit also had to modify a fzr fairing bracket
the initial inspiration for something slightly differant was this 125
and a possability for a modern take on a kr1s paint scheme ?
Good work so far, you've got that looking really nice.
With regard to the colour scheme, have you looked at Corsi's 125?
Terol, Bradl and Zanetti might be worth a look too, even if you change the colours to suit you.
I can't wait to see the finished product and judging by what you have achieved already, it's going to be a real head turner.
Neil.
If you have a Parking Ticket or Speeding Ticket take a look at PePiPoo. Helping the Motorist get Justice.
ade.The bike is looking very good. But for me the kr1s seat does'nt belong on there anymore.Have you thought about something more modern
I had a ratch round in the garage and I've got a small selection might not be of any use but they might point you in the right direction
I can't be too far from you PM me if your interested.
keep up the good work =D> Paul
havn't had time yet Si, im really busy at work and working away in scotland next week, still need to sort out another bellypan the seat unit is getting a quick coat of paint at the moment just green to tidy it up a bit.

looks cool how does the subframe hold up i need to hide it but im a big lad dont want it collapsing under the load
how easy/difficult was the rgv swingarm to fit looks the dogs b*****ks.
it will be a long time coming but it will get there in the end

.
if youre gonna modify the sub frame
why not make it a removable design,
then further down the track IF/when you
go full monocoque for the seat theres less to do

Never had a problem with the rear subframe I weigh about 11 stone. If you think It was designed to carry 2 people so the top rail is already pretty strong to start with.
The Rgv swing arm went straight in I had a block of Alloy welded on the bottom of it (see 1st picture) so it kept the pivot point of the shock in the same place as standard. Think the Elf did his differently. But was quite simple to do.

I also did mine similar to Flute, fitted an RGV250P swingarm (non bannana - tri braced on both sides), goes in pretty easy with a few small shims to centralise it and a block welded to the bottom for the tie bar connection.
Also did a similar mod the the subframe and I can concur it is pretty strong as it landed upside down after my last get off and didn't bend. I have since cut it right back just behind the riders seat and CDI location.
I did try the same RS250 seat as Flute, but found the seating position too high (but probably Ok for a supermoto style though), good thing though is that the seat requires almost no modding to fit to the modified subframe.
Hey Ade - congrats on getting your bike in PB this month.
on another note, I see PB were saying that the KIPS system drops into the cylinder - whats that all about?
Magazines always give the KR a bad rep with reliability - my RGV was a nightmare in that respect
I fitted the rgv swigger differently as I made some spacers to extend the width of the KR knuckle joint to the same as the RGV one and then made two new tiebars to connectto the original RGV mount hole. There are some photos of it on here somewhere.
im a window fitter so i used a bit of pvc door skin. the panel of the door ,think it is essentianly what scooble used modelers plasticard, cant be too different. cuts with scissors or a knife and a heat gun sorts the shape.
