Yes, I've already returned the ones I hadn't shipped yet.

@ the UK guys who have received/will receive the faulty valves in short notice, please don't bin them yet. I'm regularly in the UK and could collect perhaps some of them. Or, but that might be too much too ask for you could send them to one of you (The Elf? Kwackman12?) and I collect them from his place.....

All others don't bother about sending them back, just bin them, put them on your shelf, make a set of earrings out of them etc......

Herbert and I thought about that too, but that's only a solution for someone who's desperate to get his engine ready for the PB trackday or so :D

I want a perfect valve and that's what you've paid for too.

Thanks, nearly got a stroke, when I discovered the fault..... ruined my day. The guy who's made valves ( and measured the original ones) is going to have a very black Friday. Herbert was fuming as he saw the new valves compared to the old ones. Such simple parts as these valves should be perfect the first time, he said. This guy will be working the whole weekend to get the new ones finished as soon as possible.

I'd thought next we'd start making KIPS levers/wheels, you think those other parts are more urgent? Tight tolerance shouldn't be a problem. the stuff Herbert normally makes got tolerances of 1/1000mm

Thought you were just there on the 26th, then I'll come over to the Ring on the 25th, to finally see a KR1S on the Nordschleife :D

If anyone bothers to send the valves to Gary that would be great, if not, no problem.

Yes, right, rub it in :D At least I can say I tried to make some F3 valves and soon you'll all have them \:D/

Will be coming over on the 25th but I dont know what time I will arrive as I am bringing the KR in a van (i'm a chicken I know) should be around 3pm, My clubs hired the ring on the monday 26th. 135 bikes so far, apparently it's the largest group of bikes the channel tunnel has ever had booked as one group & they want to take some pictures for publicity purposes. Realy looking forward to riding it around the Nordschleife, still trying to find somewhere to hide the bulllet cam so I can record the event.Wonder if a "KR" has ever been around the "ring"

I'll try to get Monday the 26th off then, hope you didn't forget to order decent weather as well :D

Don't think there's ever been a KR on the ring AFAIK. The current german KR owners I know either just polish them and ride them in sunny weather for 10 miles or keep theirs broken in their basement (cheers, Dirk  )

Would definatley have a set of pullies. My kips valves just arrived superb bit of kit!! would it be worth asking Hebert how much he would want for the "faulty" ones as I think I could do something with them as the "hole" is still high enough to clear the oil seal?

Yes but the wheel/lever won't fit anymore, as the hole in the wheel doesn't match the one in the valve.

As long as you still take the perfect ones that are currently being made (just got a call from Herbert) , they're yours for free......
