jet sizes

Hi all
I've recently had the carbs out of my Kr 1 to clean them out and noticed that the air screws were both 2 and a half turns out, which seems a bit much (thought it should be between 1/2 and 1 1/2?). Does this mean I should get a smaller size jet? What sizes are you guys using?

air screw has to be adjusted to every single engine, not two engines are the same.

So just try it out and adjust if nescasary. turning it out makes the fuel leaner
