35mm Stage 2.2
STAGE 2.2
a test part has been de-molded.
test piece cast without aluminium flange plate embedded and material is softer compound than will be eventually used.
fit and detail are very good (even though surface finish appears a bit rough, material consistency is uniform)

STAGE 2.3 20 November
first pair reproduced...

might have to look at a ballot system,
given the demand and the effort to required (Steve) to produce them
the first 10 sets may ship this year - remember some countries cant guaranttee christmas delivery after about 5 December.
there are a few extras I want to be able to do:
get some bulk gaskets cut - should be a quick and easy job for a local printer to lasercut some Klinger or Garlock material - often you can tear the reed gasket in separating the rubber and reed from crankcase - and the new 35 rubber will require its own one.
got some people pricing the KX/KDX clamps for reed and airbox - looks like sourcing from the US will be cheapest - maybe I dont supply (was an addon price) - just thought it would be handy to provide as much as possible
you guys are still gonna have to sort your cables and modifying your reed box stuffer yourselves, FUEL TAP !(enlarge your airbox holes? - I will provide dimensions NOT REQUIRED) - but thats half the fun - doing some mods yourself

'...enlarge your airbox holes...' ?
Which holes did you mean as KR-1R rubbers fit a stock KR-1S airbox (at least mine do)
I can measure up a stock KR-1R throttle cable if that helps. Should be plenty of companies that can make cables to suit.
Mod to stock KR-1S stuffer http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/teamsparrow/kr1stune6.htm plus some info on the jetting I use.
Left is modded. Right is stock with green showing amount that needs removing. Stuffer filled with filler as you grind through the wall.
Didn't realise but that picture is at least 7 years old

at least 35mm (PWK28) versus 59mm (PWK35) at airbox side??
but have never bothered to compare airboxes side by side
I just assumed bigger
I THINK YOU ARE CORRECT, MARK, the 28 rubber just has a much larger bulkhead flange (maybe 10mm difference on radius) at the airbox wall so same hole
theyre both a bugger to fit sometimes
the motionpro cable (Taiwan?) that comes with the banshee kit seems correct for length but the screw into the throttle grip is like 10mm vs KR 8mm? and of course has no oil injection take off.
Charles was looking at who can remake
Motionpro in US claim to do a custom service
http://www.motionpro.com/custom/index.php
modifying the existing cable (calling ELF? Satarn?) less effort
