Gaskets, pistons and plating...........:-(

Post by tommy »

Have had a search, but can't find what I'm looking for on the forum, so would like some advice on :

Are genuine Kwak head and baser gaskets the ones to use? Where to buy from please........

Also best pistons and where to get them please.......

And plating should I need it when the head and barrells come off. Am hoping for a broke piston, but as we all know............

Thanks all! Got my bike running the other day, but one cylinder is quite sick. Poo :-({|=

Hi Tommy,
Genuine Kwak head gaskets are the ones to use.
Aftermarket gaskets (except for the head) seem perfectly fine according to most that have used them.
Where to buy all these things depends on where you live of course. If your in the UK like most of the members here, then your in luck. If you happen to be outside the UK, then it'll be a bit trickier. Talk to your local kwak dealer about the head gasket though.
Good luck getting it sorted.
