I'm working on this at the mo.
Top and bottom triple clamps almost done. I really liked the look of Scotts naked conversion so this will be something similar... But different.
Now to try and post some pics of job so far...
Forks and brakes are GSXR 1000. Reckon i'll be respringing the forks, just need to work out appropriate spring rates etc.
Damn..... that's some real nice lookin work there Sheik.
What wheels you going to use? Are you going to use the GSXR clipons too?
Glad ya liked my naked conversion. It was inspired by Tono-san's (the first to do it as far as I know) naked KR.
Here's a link to Tono's page for those interested. http://www.geocities.jp/fake_dimension_ ... r250e.html
I can't wait to see yours finished off, as going by these pics it's going to be something real special.
KR250 Tandem Twin (Naked)
KR1 Red/White
KR1S Track Bike (has been put on hold for now)
ZXR750 H1 (Winter project)

Not sure about wheels yet. At this stage going with kr on the front. I really need to look around see what looks good, open to suggestions on that one.
I'll use the GsexR clipons if I can find some cheap, I'll know more when I put the front end together and see what angle they feel comfortable at.
Heaps of stuff yet to be worked out. More pics when I finish the clamps and put the fork legs in.

All depends on how much you want for those cylinders and a pipe design.
Cylinders will only be cost of plating and the pistons, pipe design will be cheap just have to work out how to make the template for your bike. Is a laser or water jet cutting place close to you?
Cheers lozza,
Pistons are looking about $AU110 each, got the rods the other week. They look pretty good.
We've got a few laser and water cutters around here. Last time i made a pipe I made it straight then bent it. Can you send me a complete pre bent design?????
Pre bent yes and no yes I can send one but no idea if it will fit all works on radi and bend angle that's what we have to work out. I'll ring you and give you a starting point.
I can't remember if went for 110 or 115mm rods?
Ok, Yokes themselves are pretty much done now. Still not sure whether to polish them or get them plated......
Obviously, I'll use stainless bolts, just have to go buy some tomorrow.
Also need to make shaft (whatever you call it I dont know) between the two and a new axle, but thats all pretty simple now.
This assembly so far weighs about the same as the original and it's waaaaaaaay stiffer. Also looks tougher, so we're ahead on all fronts
Cheers Scott. What headlight\indicators did you use for yours?
I'm thinking what with such large forks, twin headlight Ducati (mind the swear word) style might work, but then I have no taste at all.
