hey just have a new question, after months rebuilding my kr-1s engine i have ridden it a couple of miles (1500) and when i rev it up to 10,000 rpms my feet feel like vibrate and thats a little weird, is this normal? why it happend? :-k

and my second doubt is: :?:

when i am ridding it,it revs very well until it reaches 10,000rpms,but to reach the red line it just do it very very slow, and somethimes it does not even reach it. :?
does it need any carb adjustement or what can i do to get this done?? :?:

thanks a lot

i will upload a video of my bike running so that you can see what i mean :D

thanks again :D

When you re-built the motor did you make sure that the balance weight was located correctly with respect to the crank. Dots on crank and balance weight gears.

vibration, loose engine bolt?? loss of power could be yet another kr1s ignition breaking down. im assuming you have rebuilt the motor and everything is tip top and correctly assembled? could even be a fuel problem, at high revs the carbs can run dry if thje tap or float height is faulty/set wrong.

Image THIS IS A METALLIC SPACER THAT FITS IN THE LOWER ENGINE SUPPORTS

Image

AND IN THE UPPER ENGINE SUPPORTS IT DOES HAVE RUBBER SUPPORTS
Image

MY QUESTION IS

IS THAT METALIC SPACER THE ORIGINAL FROM FACTORY? OR DOES THE BIKE SUPPOSED TO USE A RUBBER SPACER/SUPPORT DOWN THERE??

COULD THAT BE MY BIKES PROBLEM??

CAN I FIT A RUBBER SPACER/SUPPORT??

DO YOU THINK THAT WILL RESOLVE MY PROBLEM??

THANKS A LOT

I M DESPERATE ](*,)

The metal spacer is standard Edgar.
Not sure about the vibration. As long as the engine has been built properly I can't see why there would be an issue with vibration.
As for the lack of top end power, I'd be looking at the carbs first up. After that, I'd be checking the stator and the coil as they will falter under high load if theyre on their way out. The other possibility is that the engine has too much compression (head shaved too much), which will restrict the engine from reving out fully.

Just re-read your post and I'm thinking that the two are probably related since they both occur at the same RPM. If the engine is miss-firing (due to weak spark etc) this could be what your feeling as vibrations through the pegs perhaps.

Then take the best, 87 is too low.
