While since I stripped mine, but I remember having to apply more pressure than I wanted to  and it came away with a mighty crack !!

I even made up a 'button' for the end of the crank because I was worried about the puller damaging it - there was so much pressure on it.

Not tried this, but seemingly a few drops of diesel, and leave the engine on it's end for a good day or so. Then try the puller, and if it's not coming, leave it under tension overnight and try again.

Heat would be the answer, but not with the electrics in there =; Could try a cloth that's been in boiling water (wrung out) to heat the flywheel while the puller is under tension. Very very last resort would be boiling water, but you're risking damage then !!!

Hope that helps. Good luck !
