Full Rebuild (pics galore!)

Post by Dixon Bainbridge »

Hey crew,
Recently I have discovered that my crankseals have perished on my KR-1S, so I decided to give the engine a full rebuild, top and bottom, as it's been around 10,000 kms since the last top end. I used rc46's and mj's guides to do this by the way, great body of information.

A local business will be rebuilding the crank for me, so I split the cases and got it out.

There is quite a bit of wear on the cases, so I think there has been a big failure at some point in this engines life. I will get Gav at GD Engineering to check it out.
