Do you know what Matty, I was thinking the same thing, a bit like that French streetfighter that is in another section of the forum.
Maybe when I get round to the Kr1 special

???
Anyway, been far too busy to stop & take pics of the rebuild, so here are a couple taken while I was on a tea & tab break.

From Matty's race bike I have taken the engine, which is running on premix until I get round to testing the oil pump not that I have anything against premix, its just this bike will spend the majority of its time on the road & I don't want the hassle of messing about at the petrol station. I have also used Matty's wheels & brakes, all of which are in far better condition than the ones on my bike. However, once I have restored the other set of calipers I have (new seals/pistons etc), they will go on.

I also used Matty's fairing bracket as mine is in the 'paint removing' stage.
Clock bracket on & I have tested all the backlights. Everyone worked except the neutral light & for the life of me I couldn't figure out what the problem was.........until I came to fire the bike up!
It wouldn't start, well at least not with the sidestand down

Because my oil tank is still empty, the bike thinks its out of 2 stroke & won't light my neutral lamp

I'm such a nob at times! I quickly bypassed the side stand switch & hey presto.....fired into life
Anyway, I popped the fairing on after my well earned cuppa & apart from a bit of tidying up here & there, its almost ready for its mot
The rest of the stuff I want to do will get done next winter, like repair & paint the fairings & for now its just rolling restoration all the way
