Aaargh !

my bike has suddenly decided it doesn't want to select gears

if i sit on it rocking backward and forwards and push/pull hard enough
on the lever i can eventually get a gear

on the road changes are clunky/grating and doesn't always select a gear or jumps out!

is it likely to be the external selector mechanism behind the l/h cover?

someone please say yes - i can do without the aggro of a gearbox
strip at the moment

check that the little retainer spring behind the left cover is still in place

you were right as usual jan - it had snapped

took one out of my spare engines and all ok again
