Lomas pipes...

Hi all

As I'm about to take the zorsts off anyway I think I might splash some cash and get some Lomas pipes.

I think KR-1S pipes mount differently to KR-1 pipes? What will I need to put the Lomas pipes on to the old girl?

Two hands I'd say..... mine fitted without a problem, I only had to put a spacer (used a large nut) on the lhs one at the exhaust mounting bracket.

heh heh good - as easy as that eh?

When you say exhaust mounting bracket do you mean the one KR-1's don't have and KR-1S's do which is under the engine - part number 23062. Which means I gotta get one somehow...

Yeah, there is an extra bracket for the 1s. Many people fit 1S pipes to their KR1 without fitting this bracket/mount as they are very hard to find in usable condition. The problem is that this puts a lot of extra tension on the lower bolts for mounting the cans which can eventually strip the thread in the can (I have a can like this). It wont be as much of a potential issue with the Lomas pipes though as they weigh around half as much as the standard items, so puts a lot less stress on those little bolts. I'd still prefer to have the extra mounting bracket myself though.

yes, I mean the bracket under the engine, it's nla though.

Got a brand new one here from frog32, will try to get a quote for a small batch soon.

my problem with that part is the rubbers are part of the bracket and not available seperately - as far as I have seen anyway.

I will use some large washers to keep mine together as the rubbers came out of the bracket :roll:
