Yep I moved the box with the mounts in today when I tidied up the top of my parts washer.

For some reason I just cant bring myself to throw them out, someone kindly sent me the image after I bought the mounts but they are clearly the same ones that I have (rusty bits in the picture.

Unfortunately, you will probably only get to see it from your hospital bed after they've removed that rear shock from up your bum.

But great to see someone doing something different.

Hi Danny, i've only just found your thread as i dont get on here as much as i used to.
I know how dificult building a special can be, i've tried myself in the past but had
to give up due to lack of technical knowledge and the skills needed to finish the project..
The first principal of any special must be that once its completed it is safe to ride.
There are sound engineering principals that you have to follow if its going to work.
I have to agree with others and say there are faults in you design.
The rear shock mount isnt going to work, you have to listen to those who know and are willing to offer advice.
The simplest solution isnt neccessarilly the right one to use.
Your shock mount will not work. it wont be strong enough, and as geoff
has stated its going to fail with potentially disasterous concequences if your riding it when it does.
take a look on the rgv site for pictures of geoffs specials, they are VERY special, and take note,
when he says its not going to work he's probably right because he knows what he's talking about.
Dont get the hump when people offer advice or question your methods, find out why they
think something wont work and look for a solution.
A KR engined RS, if done right would be a great project but you have to think it through to get
the best out of the components your planning to use.

Bit disappointed he hasn't added free membership to BUPA with the bike........ or maybe that's what he means by the kill switch.

It's currently at £1.04 but the reserve hasn't been met.

Reckon you will have to go up to at least £2.00 to meet that.
