Yes the engine would run! But if you are going to the length of a head/barrel rebuild - I would say a matching replacement best option!

Is yours a KR1 or a KR1S?
Running mixed valves in a KR1 engine wouldn't have as much effect as if you were to run them in a KR1S engine. The KR1 has smaller KIPS ports, meaning they also have smaller ports in the valves, so having an odd valve wont have any real effect. If you were to do the same thing in the KR1S engine however, the KR1 vales (haveing smaller ports than in the barrel) will restrict gas flow slightly which will effect power slightly, although it's unlikely youll notice the difference at all.
If you want them all matching, one of the forum members may be able to help (Charles may have some F3 kit valves left), or you can match them up yourself if you have a lot of patience and a dremel (I've done this myself, including modding them to the F3 kit spec for my track bike project).
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Scott.
