my 1992/ 93 (cant remember K reg) Kr1s in full race restoration for the coming season which starts at mallory park March 7th 2010.
The clock is ticking...
Yes its had new bearings alround and ive put the r6 shock conversion on it with a k- tec race spring on it set for my weight ( hope it works [-o< ) and ive got a freind tuning the motor (porting) for me.Also ive put a ZX6R 2001 front master cylinder on it but it looks the same as the kr1s so well see how it goes. Im running the rear brake from a yamaha Tz with a 17"Rgv250 rear wheel which has a rgv brake disc which has been machined down to a smaller size.
Ok fixed her all up with the new white fairings and lost the front end on a wet oily Edwinas chicane at mallory park on the last test day last November...Doh!. So back to the workshop for some much needed improvements, nearly done now just waiting for her to come back from the Sprayers this sunday
Ok, finally after 8 months slog the Kr is ready to test at mallory( this thursday if weather is dry) i cant wait to see if this suspension upgrade is a plus !
Hope you like

yer i know! but thats what happens when you use zxr 250 forks , so you can imagine i was a little hacked off when i realised i could not use the 4 pots.
When i do another kr1s(this winter) im gonna rethink the front end this time
