I managed to find an hour or two today to do a wee bit on the motor.I'd got to the point where the flywheel could go on and checking the torque settings I realised that my torque wrench did'nt have a high enough range for the flywheel nut.
So I left it and went out to sort out a few bits n pieces. On the way home I passed the local snap on man parked in his van.So I stopped and entered the alladins cave of snap on =P~
A wee while later and after resisting all the other goodies on display I emereged with my new "Torque instrument".
It's mint :D I think I'll keep it under my pillow :D

I'm a Teng man myself, is there much difference in the quality between snap-on & Teng?

I've never bought any snap-on tools ever, to be honest, I've not even compared prices between my beloved Teng & snap-on

But that torque wrench looks a work of art 8)

I've never experienced Teng before, so can't comment.

What size drive and torque range is that Snap-on one?

It was expensive, but I've been converted to snap on.It's great kit to use and guaranteed for life.
My mate has a full chest of teng tools and I rate them too I borrowed a flywheel holding tool from him today too do the job, great bit of kit.I will be investing in one of those too.As soon as I see the Teng man.
I've struggled on in the past with some real crap tools and its nice now too be able too use decent kit even if my talent has'nt improved by the same degree
Luders its 3/8 and the range is 20-100 Nm,comes with a conversion scale for good old FT/lbs.
I'm goin t give it a good polish before bed

My old job as a plumber/heating engineer had some right crackers. I still remember my part time helping hand laughing his nuts off when he read the top of a packet of washers I had bought,

half inch cock washers

I suppose its funny the first time round?
