Hopefully the F250 in 2011 will see a few more KR's out there and I would like to see Kawasaki come out as the top manufacturer. That title has gone always gone to Suzuki in recent times.
For those wanting a go I will happily provide advice on what I have found works and what doesn't in terms of producing a fast reliable race engine.
Agree - I have seen far to many people waste a weekend with a blown engine. They need to factor in what it costs them. Other than engine damage which can run to hundreds of pounds there is the cost of the meeting which is money lost, fuel getting there etc. For the sake of 1 or 2 horse power which most wouldn't even notice they could have blown nearly a thousand pounds
Don't over rev and don't over compress and the motors are reliable.
Whats the difference with your latest spec cases (if your inclined to share this revision that is)?
I'm not quite ready to do my engine yet, but very curious after reading how well they seemed to work, even with the stock KR1 top end =D> .
KR250 Tandem Twin (Naked)
KR1 Red/White
KR1S Track Bike (has been put on hold for now)
ZXR750 H1 (Winter project)
Bottom end is similar to what I have shown before but now do a little more work on the cases in the area next to the crank webs. Sorry I don't have pictures and but basically rounding everything off. Customer bottom end and mine are the same.
The KR responds well to work on the cases.
Andy B's engine has the case mods and he seems happy with the performance.
