nikons mate, not as good as std pipes but still there a decent pipe and weigh nowt. i use em on my bike as i cant afford lomas yet! nikons are prob the next best thing after std if you want lightness as there cheap and come up for crabs quite a bit. gibsons give fat range but zero over rev. the nikons also sound great. as for tuning, you after a road tune or full on race motor? for race purposes ring graham file or if your after a bit of both ie fast road/track use then try mick abbey. hes on here and a very good tuner commonly known for making lcs/powervalves into fliers! prices are also very very good. graham file is very expensive but also very clued up. id sort the handling/tyres first though. you be suprised at the difference of that alone.

I have Nickons on mine and I found the midrange excellent, superb drive out of corners and capable of keeping up with much faster bikes.
I had mine ceramic coated and wrapped them with heat insulator - gets through sound testing no problem (unlike some standard bikes).
Case mods you can do yourself, there's plenty of pictures on the forum. Just a bit of JBWeld and a dremel and your away.
Had my cylinders and head done by Bob Farnham - can't really vouch for how good it is, but I had one done back in the day by him and it was a rocket ship. Think the general consensus is Don't go to Stan Stephens

Welcome to the forum James.
In answer to your question about setup, this is a wide topic and depends on how far you want to go.
Suspension, brakes, engine tuning, gearbox, clutch, wheels, cooling, carburetion and air flow. We really can talk about these subjects in a lot of detail, so let us know what you would like to find out and what other specific advice you're after and we'll all be happy to help and advise.
As already mentioned, good tyres need to be your starting point.
Since Dunlop pulled out of the 18" market with the Alpha10's, we've been left with the Bridgestone BT090's. These are superb rigid tyres, offering good contact feel and good slide control during races and on the track.
