PWK35 Jetting/needles

Post by mj43 »

Many people have asked me what jets and needles I run in my PWK35 carbs.

Needle is type DEL clip set to middle position.
Main jets vary between 152 and 158 depending on conditions. 155 should be safe.

Note this is a different needle to the one that is fitted as standard to the KR-1R. I found the stock needle didn't pull out of corners very well. Spent quite a few Wednesdays at Mallory Park trying different needles to get good drive out of Edwinas and Devil's Elbow. DEL is teh new numbering scheme the old one was JXXXX there are conversion tables available somewhere on the web.

Could i ask what number slide you use please?

The carbs i have bought have the 4.5 slide in, i understand the kr1r had the 6.0 slide in, is this the one that you use?

Cheers
