Coolant level

Post by boggy »

Finally after buying my bike i took it out for a spin yesterday, only to find when i stopped there was coolant all over the back wheel!!Have looked at previous posts and it seems the level is critical in the expansion tank. What level should i use ie below min?PS the bike did not overheat,it go upto just below halfway on temp gauge.Could it be i have a week spring in the radiator cap?A new one is bloody expensive @ £26!!Any info much appreciated.
