can i pressure test the crankcase

while ime saveing for a crank rebuild,is there any probs with pressure testing the crancase. the engine is still blanked off at the exhaust outlet and inlets (after shotblasting and quick treatment of alocrome),just thought while its sat on the bench i could make a plate up with a shrader valve and a 3/8 fitting for a pressure guage , does anyone know any rough idea of the maximum crankcase pressure ? i can just test with soapy water at just under this pressure ,any info would be great ,oh it`s a standard kr1s engine

just read if it`l take 6psi for 3 mins its ok
