MK 3 bracket
This is just the left plate
The chewed bit of alloy between the nuts was just to get a line and that will be 8mm plate like the side brackets.
It will be welded both sides onto the side plates
It's all fun and games
I snapped a bolt in the cases as some donkey had red loctited the screws in
Got one out and the other one snapped at the head, drilled in a bit and got the devil stud extractors out i vowed never to use again
Yep and the fecker snapped
So had a nut welded over the stud and after a few attempts
Bottom pic shows how the weld is built up above the threads
Another thing i vowed never to do was a bit of home tuning
Ain't touching anything else but matched the crankcases to the transfer ports on the barrels.
There is always quite a step between the two.You need to trim the base gasket now aswell
don't want to be rude but used stud extractor and removed all mine no probs
No Matter How Messy Things Get You Can Always Clean Them Up.
MY MAMMA TOLD ME, IF YOU AIN'T GOT ANY PROBLEMS DON'T MAKE ONE.
TIME IS PRECIOUS WASTE IT WISELY
First time I ever used a stud extractor it worked perfectly and I thought it was a fantastic invention - that was in 1985 - since then I have had 3 sets and never made them work again.
I have bought a cheap bench drill made in China - now I drill out the snapped fastener nice and slow starting with a fine drill bit and using gradually bigger bits - the heat normally shifts the fastener but keep going until you can clear it out with a thread tap - never failed but its not a 5 min job.
Just a random pic as i haven't done anything this week
Did buy some more barrels apparently still on standard bore probably going to need a fresh rebore though

Got some TZR 250 6 petal reed blocks, the holes need to be slotted in to fit and a spacer fitted between barrels and reed blocks as the TZR reed blocks go in by a further 5mm.
Apparently this is a good mod and compared to V Force 3 reeds are blummin cheap
I did cut the plates out and drill the 20mm hole but it's me mate Lee who is a welder/fabricator and responsible for about 99% of what you see on these pages
