Transmission- washers- where do they go

Post by Kr1smd »

Hi -- I was putting the transmission back into its casing and the one of the large cogs slipped off. Now I don't know where the washers should be placed!
There are three washers-
one of them (the largest) I know gets placed on the main shaft but not inside the gear housing (put on after the shaft is through into the gear selector part of the case)
As for the other two , they are the same size. should they be placed at each side of the cog but still inside the gear case?
or one at the outside of the cog (ie not in between the cogs) and the other at the opposite side of the gear casing( the gear selector area) . HELP!
