barryj wrote:I notice you are in South Wales, wherabouts? I am just outside Newport, are there any meets organised around our way?
Usk - no organised events that I am aware of, but on a good sunny Sunday Abergavenny bus station (Oasis Snack Bar) is the place to be I have seen 200 - 300 bikes, can get into the thousands on a bank holiday weekend  they would piss their pants if you turned up on that!

Yeah I go to Abergaveny fairly regularly in the summer, it is only just up the road from me really and you are right 100's of bike their on a Sunday. I will be taking the 500 for a squirt up their on the first decent day we get, are you the guy from Usk who was interested in my 1s?

You should drop me your number via PM and we can arrange to meet up in Aber when the weather gets better.

Cheers.

Stunning, absolutely brilliant. 8) :D

Erm, except the paint job. Why's it painted like an old NSR ? I don't get it. :? Basically a Suzuki engine and Suzuki frame innit ? Paint it in Lucky Strike or Pepsi colours and then I'll get properly excited...

Yep sure was, If the clutch on my stupid car haddn't gone pop I would have had your 1s like a shot - £400 car £400 to fix the bloody clutch could have bought a whole new car!
PM sent

barryj wrote:Its a good point stroker, but the guy who built it wanted to get the best replica of his dream bike (Rossi's NSR500) with the best parts available. Therefore there is only one choice for a four cylinder two stroke motor that makes any sense.

Look at it like this, the only part of the engine that remains as it came from the Suzuki factory is the crankcases. The frame started off as an RGV but bears no relation to in now at all, Spondon did the work.

Everything else is pretty much one off built from scratch, given this I suppose you could say he would have been better off not putting any manufacturers badge on it. What I would say though is that the bike bears as little relation to a Suzuki than it does to any other manufacturer so I am going to leave it as it is.
Yeah, that all makes sense. :D

Good job we've all got different tastes. :) I'd have gone for Repsol, Lucky Strike, Rothmans, Pepsi, Marlboro or Gauloises before Nastro myself. But that just gives away how old I am by my influences...

Jealousy is a terrible thing innit ? Even if it was in 'Team Durex' colours I'd be delighted to have that in my garage.
