splutter before powerband

Post by streetfighter »

Hi there guys, what a nice bike to ride!Nice and light to flick around and runs beautifully on the pipe.Only thing now is, at about 4.5 grand I get a splutter, which clears at 6 thousand as it gets into the band.I am running standard jets and needle is sitting on the middle notch. Am I running a bit lean at that stage? Cheers, Kurt.

It's pretty common to have a flat spot at that point. Dropping the needle down a notch (to the second from top) usually clears up that little hiccup, as they seem to be a bit rich there.
