Power Valves

Hi Guys !

What dictates a stuffed power valve ?

Is it the grove around the shaft caused by the rubber seal or is there other things that happen to them ?

I have just pulled down the top end and apart from the linkages and pully's, the only thing i can see is the groves around the shaft's .

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by groove on the shaft.

The seals wear two grooves into the shafts.

To avoid this use shafts made from solid and get them coated. See RGV forum there is a coating you get get on alloy that makes the surface stronger than steel.
