Crancase breather

Post by SP_BOTT »

Hi, just been cleaning my engine, and found what I assume is the crancase breather hole (the one at the top of the crancase??)

From looking at my other bikes, is there supposed to be some sort of plastic plug, with a vent line to somewhere?? as I have nothing, and didn't look like there was anything in there, when I took the engine out??

yes, it should be a white 90 degree elbow and there should be a black pipe attached, routing down the rhs where all the other breather pipes are located.

I can take a picture of the elbow if you like.

Thanks, but only if you have a pic already, I have got another bike to look at somewhere amongst the junk :), looks like I've got to nick it off that one (if it's still fitted)

...your dirt might look different to mine
the neck of the breather can snap off when removing the hose or might when you forget to disconnect everything dropping motor :-$

Thanks, that looks quite a standard sort of fitting, possibly got a spare from an LC somewhere, I'll see if it'll fit.
