when i was rebuilding the bilsteins in my rally car I was told you need just enough pressure to stop the oil aerating, the more pressure you use the more it increases the seal pressure and hence the stiction. The seal presses on the piston rod and makes it harder to move. the same would apply here, I think 140-160 is about right but i'm sure the reservoir pressure is in the workshop manual anyway. You can use argon too, which you may have lying around if you weld. you just need an inert gas basically
