Gearbox installation question

well it came out Ok, however, now matter how much i 'jig it about' it doesn't want to go in, is there a 'special' technique to it?

what are you struggling with?

is it the selector drum and forks?

the output shaft has a smear on it, looks like its picked up and subseqently too tight for the bearing. I tried a good spare one and it goes in Ok on its own. I'll give it another go tomorrow
