Well don't blame me if pics and bike aren't done, other half has pissed off on Holiday this week and if I'm not careful Sunday'll end up along the lines of
'but I've not seen you for a week.....and you want to go and.....'
you all know the story
Gary, black frame, well now you mention it... no I've been thinking about it for quite a bit, I think with the black wheels and loads of other black bits will look better, I don't want to polish it cos I'm lazy and my lc has enough bits that need cleaning/polishing. I'm probably going to do the same thing with the rg125 I got for the mrs. I've had the swing arm done plus a load of other bits, plus it's just had all its panels repaired and repainted in a metallic black, makes the frame look too scruffy now.
Here's a pic for interest

Oh yeah blatent plug here, anyone who needs body panels repairing and painting contact the forums resident spares provider.... Kawaski Heavy Indus........sorry getting confused with sheer stock levels.... Mr Frog32
Lee and his brother fixed up all the panels and some were bolloxed and resprayed it all for me, all I can say is I'm very happy with the results and it was a sound price.

Well, been very quiet on this front lately, but off tomorrow to pick up my freshly powdercoated 1S frame, swing arm and all the little brackets and fairing mounts. Hopefully one quick rebuild coming up, but I doubt it somehowGarry wrote:agree the black frame would really set the bike off mark - just a shame
you've just about got it all together and then have to start tearing it
all down again- part of the fun i suppose

Got my frame
Decided I'd go for gloss black to match wheels etc, Got the frame, swingarm, fairing mount, all the little bits that go on the frame, footrest hangers blasted and coated for £50, cheaper than autosol and elbow grease
Ok, I'm off to my shed, you may not see me for some time
Well it's either that or restain the decking

haven't got the time or enthusiasm to polish, or more to the point keep it looking good.sprocket stu wrote:it looks well but i prefered it polished never mind it aint my project anymore

Might start building another one up later, with a 1 frame done black with the recessed bit in the spars polished, might be able to keep that looking ok

That looks really good. I think I might just get mine powder coated next winter, or pick up another frame and get that done now and then swap the parts over.
