Just got this from Gary (The kr kid) of this forum.
1980 Kh 250 B5. Gary got it new so 1 owner
Came with the original spoke wheels which Gary replaced with cast Bold'or wheels back in 1981, another tank and more spares,
Anyone know what pipes they are
I didn't know if i should get the wd40 out or the lawn mower
Should be fun
On the plus side its all there so a good basis and should make a nice bike. I used to have one of those but an S3A 400 about 5 or 6 years back, they are definately one of the best looking bikes going of that era in my opinion. Mine had the alloys and pipes here is a pic. Dont know what the pipes were but it sounded good. Keep us posted on your progress.
I wish i knew something about KR's so i was like knowledgeable about them and everything like what you lot are
Was sad to see it go, but if 375 can make something of it all well and good.
Only 14k on the clock, and no rebore. It's all there, with some period extras, so a good base for a project. Unfortunately due to lack of funds it was never going to get the restoration it needs (can't buy much on benefit). Will be interesting to see the rebuild going on! Thankfully there's more plentiful parts supply for these over the KR, and no expensive hard-to-find plastics!
Stop annoying me, I'm running out of space to hide the bodies!
Yep got my work cut out but going to be fun doing it
Got to finish doing the forks on my lc/rgv first then i will start stripping it down in the new year.
Been using wd40 on the ignition and all key locks and they all work now as well as moving parts on the switch gear,
Its now in the dry and the dog has put is mark on it
Parts for these bikes are so much cheaper then what iam used to paying
for Lc spares and there is a good surply of pattern parts but i do have a spare set for rgv usd forks and yokes
