Been missing for a while....but in my defence I've been a bit busy and crook.
Started a new shop. Still have my original KR-1B
Bought an S model....
Finished the ZXR conversion on the 3rd KR1B and just need to build the alloy bodywork...
Working on a IT465 with a KR1B front end and wheels....because everyone needs a big bore 2 stroke super motard.
So that's about it.....

I love seeing 'odd' projects.
I used to own a 465J in my hooligan years - absolute hoot (although it liked to break kickstart springs every other week).

Nice projects!
Does the KR-1S need any work? It certainly looks good in the photo.
Keep us updated on your KR-IT and KR-ZXR projects - both are showing a lot of promise.

The KR-1S has needed a bit of work. Came with some issues.
One of which was a set of Mikuni TM36 carbs and a hacked up air box.
Needs some tuning.

how easy or dificult was it to fit the ZXR swing arm ?
and what did you have to do to align the chain ?
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !

I used the ZXR250C.
It's pretty much a direct fix with the exception of the rear shock spacing.
You can build a spacer onto the rear frame cross piece or cut the lug off and weld a new one on.
Due to the mount on the ZXR swing arm being further back the shock lays forward at more of an angle and there's interference with the shock Spring.
If you used a skinnier shock Spring you might get away with not using a spacer or new mount lug.
To me that would have defeated the purpose of using the adjustable ZXR unit.
Chain alignment hasn't been an issue.

Nah....I have a 400 as well.
I would have liked to have used the 17" wheels but the 400 is too fun to break up.
Especially since it's wearing ZXR250 bodywork so I can sneak up on the unsuspecting lol

Hehehe...yes sneaky.
Only revs to 14,000 as opposed to the 18,000 on the 250 but it doesn't have much baffle.
Its an ex FX400 series race bike.
