Just got some front discs for my LC KR1S Hybrid but i don't think they are the right ones.
They are in the post at the mo,so can't measure.
They came from a 1989 ZXR 250 A
I have a feeling i got the wrong ones :?
Can a resident brake spotter please enlighten me

If they're zxr250a, 300mm dia they're the same as 1s discs.

And no I've still not decided what I'm doing with that seat

He did measure them for me and they are 300mm but it looked like the outer swept area was thinner as in less brake pad surface area :?
Just sell me the seat and it will be one less thing in life to think about

KR1S discs

As you can see the discs in the lower pic have a greater surface area

I guess the ZXR discs were used on forks that should have 310mm discs fitted, or he had smaller brake pads fitted.

to me they are the same, only the ZXR discs were not used on to their "full extend inner diameter" (is that english   ), and that's why they appear smaller.

If you look at the area between the bobbins
Going from the gold inner ring to the start of the stainless outer to me that looks a bigger gap in the ZXR discs.......dontcha think :?

I am pretty sure that the ZXR250 used the same calipers as the KR-1, not the KR-1s so the smaller swept area is probably due to that, as for the gap yes it does look bigger.

Cheers Al do you think they will fit the Kr1S set up then?
If not any one want to buy some KR1 discs

Yes no problem on a KR-1S, but they are too big for a KR-1 (280mm discs you see!) ZXR has KR-1S discs with KR-1 calipers!

This must be a northern saying
Are you saying you are pretty sure but not 100% sure and don't hold you to account
If the KR1S brake pads bite over a larger area would this still be fine to use if they run a bit over the inside edge of the stainless outer?
I mean wavy discs have this happen don't they?
O.k. i'm outta my depth here so anymore for anymore (advice) :D

I'v blown the pic up .From what I can see these disks "look" to have been used with the wrong pads (to small) :?: . But they sure look like KR1S.

I've got both and the only difference is that the zxr ones are bolloxed
All the other posts are correct zxr250 has same caliper as a 1 so maybe the swept area bit is correct. Anyway I've got 1s discs on a zxr 250 wheel with kr1s calipers fitted to zxr400h fork legs and it all works.

Plus if you check the pads out you'll see that the zxr ones are all fa141 which is the same as the KR1S rear, which also shares it's pads with the KR1 fronts....phew.
