Has anyone got experience with these tyres? These are the only ones I am allowed to use on my KR1-S her in Germany, but I didn't find any posting in the forum referring to these tyres.
bt014 is suited better to 600/1000 sports bikes so you may have trouble getting it warm n the carcass may not move around the same...although some people use pirelli dragons without any problems......think they r fitted to the new r1...?
bring a ding ding i'm a throttle happy chappy...
you cant beat a bit of blue haze...
danny harris.....R.I.P
gone but totally forgotten...
I have used them on my 600 and to be very honest i didnt think much off them at all, I get better feedback from an BT010 front and BT020 rear. The 014's just didnt feel like they gripped and wear was quite bad~! But thats just me......
Cant you get some alpha 10's? Dunlop?

Why are these the only tyres you can fit?
Because I live in Germany where every tyre and motorcycle combination must be tested by Tüv before you are allowed to fit them. After testing you can get a "Freigabe" from the tyre producer which states that there are no restrictions in using that particular tyre for that particular motorbike. With this "Freigabe" you go to your local DVLA-equivalent, you pay about 10-15£ and then they register this "Freigabe" in your bike's papers. Now when you're halted by the police and the tyres don't exactly match the ones in your papers, you've got a problem.
As the KR1S was never imported here it's not easy to get a "Freigabe", as most german tyre companies don't know this bike. I asked Bridgestone Germany and they finally came up with these BT014. I got no reaction whatsoever from Dunlop Germany.
After searching for tyres here in the forum and now reading the answers to my question here I will be trying to get a Freigabe for the BT090pro and/or BT92. As several people recommend the Dunlop alpha 10s I 'll try my luck with Dunlop Germany once again, although Dunlop motorcycle tyres aren't very popular over here compared to the UK.

I just looked at the site of Bridgestone Germany (haven't got a reply to my request yet) and there the only available BT92 rear tyres sizes are:
150/60ZR17 (66W) TL and
160/60 R17 69H TL
Do all of you who use this BT92 have a 17" rear (RGV?) wheel?
Today BT010 but i have still few experience how does BT010 works on this bike.
to many work on (or better under) this bike
hopefully tomorrow i can finally give my bike a good kick in the a..
