I'm looking at gettting a replacement gearbox made for my KX500,
does anyone reccomend any places as oem parts are nla.

I would like to be able to get a modern design/spec gears, that are dove tailed or undercut and with square faced dogs. Any help appreciatted but it sounds like it's going to be really expensive

I can recommen D S Gear and Curton lyndsey (spelling) near Boston in Lincs. He did all the cutting, dogs and heat treatment on my CR box on my KR at a very reasonable rate. You best bet is to ring him and have a chat. Very nice bloke as well.

Thanks I had seen Nova racing on the net but haven't contacted them yet.

Just looked at D S Gears .co.uk

How much did your gearbox cost Elf? =D> #-o

I might look at trying to fit a newer kx gearbox yet.

Thanks
