Giant hole at 9,000

Post by nate »

Hi all,

(I'm being very careful over my spelling  )

As the title suggests, gave the bike a really good run today and have discovered a hole at 9,000 rpm....

Sometimes it pulls through it but feels a bit boggy.... othertimes it just stays and won't rev through ....

Any ideas???

Pulls like a good 'un from 6,500 up though...

Have you checked the power valves are working ok? Plugs is always worth checking aswell I think.

The only times I had that problem it was due to a failing stator and/or a pickup coil or the HT coil. Always the same as the parts starts to fail under load only and checks out fine with a multimeter but within a few weeks the said parts fails completely.
