tuned barrels
Hi all,just need a bit of advice,i've a pair of stan stevens race tuned barrels(his words)Which came from a spare engine that i bought yrs ago,just want to know if these would be ok to run with a standard head for road use,don't intend to do many miles or thrash the bike often.... Jeff

like fitting any secondhand barrel...
1. is the plating OK
2. are the port edges chamfered adaquately
3. is the piston/cylinder clearance within range/spec Piston size tolerance A/B/C (micrometer the piston, bore gauge the cylinder)
4. is the barrell height standard - assembly test/squish clearance test
5. Is the left cylinder a good match to the right
