30mm carbs & KDX 200 stuffers

I am planning on fitting 30mm carbs to my KR-1S, but rather than modding my original stuffers, i was wondering if i could use stuffers from a KDX 200, these are 35mm if i am correct.

Don't want to go down the 35mm carb route, just after a small power increase.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Just wondering what "30mm" carbs do you plan to use?
I got a pair of "30mm" OKO (Keihin copies) a while back, only to find that they are pretty crap quality, and not even a true 30mm carb. Turns out they're just a cheap 28mm clone that have been machined out slightly so that the thoat measures 30mm high but only 28mm wide, leaving it somewhat egg shaped.
If this is what someone is trying to sell you (there's heaps one ebay) I'd recomend you dont touch them. If you want a slightly larger carb youd be better off getting your old carbs machined out, although I hear that those who've done this in the past weren't exactly impressed with the results. :?

I had mine machined out by Bob Farnham for a proddy tuned KR1s back in the day and never had any problems - (in fact it was a rocketship)

Not sure what carbs i am going to use, have seen some 30mm Banshee carbs on ebay in the states, or i might get mine bored out.

Still not sure if i need a different stuffer for 30mm carbs, or will the standard one do.

Just an idea really, not sure if it is a good one or not.
