Mr File did mine - £450! Bearings and Rods about £220 New centre section, and 'second hand good' web on R/H cylinder £130, and labour £100.
I probably paid more than most, but his tips and advise were spot on.

i have a sep crank and apparantly are ver good. is there any way of using tz bearings or are the sizes different? what other rods can be used ?? could be fun if the kr had a 54x56 layout!! i like what falconmans doing, would that be f250 legal mark??

You could but all your port timing would be out and your expansion wouldn't match. More trouble than it is worth
I am quite happy with the 56 x 50.6 layout and the next Evo of my motor I am hoping will blow anything seen so far to pieces (might be an unfortunate use of words as I am already struggling to hold the motor together).
Just need a bit of time to make up the bits and test it.
Bearing Part Number

I offered up the crank to the crankcases yesterday and noticed that the right hand bearing locating Pin (not the flywheel end) did not sit in the crankcase recess. This lead me to believe that I may have the incorrect bearing fitted.
Does anyone know what this bearing part number should be.
I checked the Fiche on CMSNL, but it only list the crank as a complete assembly.
(BTW - PJ Engineering will only give you advice if you have a PJ Engineering invoice - which I don't)

yes, its the one that is behind the end crank gear.
Could you also measure the distance from the outside of the pin to the outside of the bearing face to?

12mm
Gap from pin to grove 7mm

thanks for that, my pin is approx 2mm away from the groove. Looks like BDK may have messed up

I had my RD250E crankshaft rebuilt a few years, the pins were in the wrong place similar to yours. When I contacted the re-builders (cant remember who) they said 'just in dremel in new ones'!
The bearings were the correct spec crankshaft bearings, just the pins (all 4) didn't match the locating groves in the crankcase.
I did dremel the groves and no probs ever came to light. But paying that sort of money, I think I would want the pins to match up.
