Happy New Year to all members.
Is there a specific way the f3 valves need to be fitted as im not to sure.
i dont want to put them in wrong & then have to take it apart again and waste a head gasket.
Cheers

yes mate, their is. the cutaway of f3 p/valves needs to be arranged a certain way ie the left side pv cutout needs to be looking at the right hand side powervalve cutout. repeat on the other barrel. i hope this makes sense. the idea is to make setup easier, the missing bits on the p/valve allow for discrepencies/slop. on a std valve, slop in the linkage can cause the valve to ''get in the way'' of exhaust gas. and also prevent the port from been open on all 4 valves. clever but simple. i run f3 valves aswell.

Hi guys, are there different pullies or links that go with the F3 valves?
I just put mine in and while setting them up on the bench I cannot see how they work (to close off that is).
If you set them up so the cut outs 'face each other' when fully open then when the valve rotates to close, the right hand valve on the left hand barrel will close the port off with the solid part of the valve. (it rotates anti-clockwise to close view on the top), but the left hand valve now has the open portion of the valve over the port, and the solid bit closest to the exhaust flange. To make it cover the port to the cylinder it would need to rotate clockwise. This would need a new pulley and link to make it do this.
This assumes looking at the barrel from the exhaust port.
The same applies the the right hand barrel, but reversed.
Anyone else thought about this or am I missing the point?

hi i thought about this when i put f3 powervalves in my kr1, i drilled new locating holes in the pulleys so that they turned about 90 degrees to where they are normally located on the powervalve shafts, this enables you to make the powervalves turn in opposite directions to each other
i have a couple of pics in my project thread 2nd page about 2 thirds of the way down
