Hi jan yeah i did glue them, i used mitre glue, it goes off in seconds when you spray the activator on, i used pop rivets just under 2mm for the rods glue it all up then spray quickly pushing together and seems to be holding well, giving it some flex to and still holding cheers.

I had thought about using pins for re-attaching (is that how you spell re-attaching?) my fairings ear, but I wasn't sure how the heat would affect the pins.
I'm kinda thinking about waiting now to see how tescr500's repairs get on before I commit to re-painting my fairings.
Hi Howie just hope the glue holds but shouldn't flex to much with the extra strength from pins only time will tell but that will be a while yet at least this winter, also here is what i did with the side cover openings on the fairing, heat a washer up then melt it in be very careful using the heat gun, got the indent i wanted then glued washer in place seems like a nice strong hold.

I like it =D> what have you done with the washer repairs, melted one on or used some type of 'top hat' bush, like the ones people use on the caliper conversion, or just a bit of pipe??
Gonna do that to mine next, (when I get the secret ) I've done a few inspection panel repairs, as well as fairings etc so far.
Hi SP-BOT its no seceret all the small ones are m5 allen key head drilled out to 6mm then ground down to 3mm, the side fairing mounts are the same but m10 drilled out to 12mm and cut back to 7mm, the side fairing covers is just a m8 washer drilled out to 9mm heated up with heat gun to start melt in, then heated in the fairing but be careful as the plastic does go a bit like jelly just squash it in a bit at a time, hold something flat on the other side as not to mishappen to much, all of these are glued in with wickes mytre glue which is pretty dam good, bit of plastic padding of the top i don't reckon you'll even see it, besides once all bolted up will be hidden anyway, i think ive covered your question, but if i can be of anymore help your more than welcome to ask cheers wayne
