Hi Guys n Galls,
What lube should I use on the valves during assembly?
I presume they should rotate nice and smoothly with almost no effort required?
Cheers
Bernie

Hi Ben,
Twisted it the other day and put my recovery back about 3 weeks, getting better though, just came in from a limp with the dogs.

You could try some durex play, the tingle one works best!

Hi Jan,
Do you put it on the spiggot at the bottom of the valve and on the stem where it goes through the head?
Cheers,
Bernie

just at the bottom actually.
on top there is too much play, I believe the only thing that is keeping the valve in place on top is the seal.
Now with my new head with changeable inserts and lowered cylinders, I also had to take some material from the top ring off the valves, because they were sticking out above the cylindres. Now they have just the minimal clearance and no longer jump up and down, so I putted some grease on them to.

Thanks Jan,
I have watched your post about the head inserts with great interest
I am using a set of F3 valves from Charles I think they will be a good fit with only a small clearance between the top shoulder and the underneath of the head, so I may put some grease there as well.
Cheers Bernie
