reed stop settings ? standard and tuned
ide had mine quite open ,letting the inlet casting close the steel stop ,so there set at the max possible ,guessing 15.5 mm ,then i read on the performance bikes 'man bites dog' article ,they said they open`d the stop out to 12mm .i just had a read about the v force reeds and theres no stops ,so do the middle ones touch ? any info would be well recieved

yep that is a bad idea (opening up the stops),wow 15 mm
Just run them at 11.5mm and they will work as they should, they dont restrict the inlet.
The Kr reed block and petals are the same as those used on the 91 and 92 kx125,the stuffers are different but then again they use 35mm carbs (as stock),i think the stock KR stuffers are well designed,to the casual observer they may look restrictive and you could grind them out for more flow but it doesnt work like this, velocity is very important (more so than size IMO).
Ive tried "no stop plate type reeds) and "stop plate type" in my h***a RS,there wasnt any Noticeable difference,it didnt even effect the jetting.
