Hi Garry, KR1 Man calling. seem to recall seeing a picture of one of yours portrayed in red and black, as a possible colour scheme. Printed a copy off and it hold pride of place on my locker door at work;it looked that gorgeous, but cannot find it anywhere on the forum now. The Blue/black looks superb, and although red & black was not a factory colour scheme, would love to see another piccy of it here, or where to find it on the Forum. Please help, all the best, KR1 Man.

KR1 Man Calling. Yep, thats the one, KR1-S in red & black. Just as gorgeous as blue & black, note I said 'just as' as I don't want to offend anyone. I would be very hard pressed to decide which colour scheme to choose if I was doing a paintjob, as they both look so nice. How about a straw poll on this one? Would make a good discussion topic. All the best, KR1 Man.

thanks dave

agree red/black looks just as nice as blue/black - in fact a lot of
colour combinations could look good in that design - if anyone can
do it would like to see the green/black reversed

just in process of giving my oldest bike a makeover - new (less worn)
discs, stainless hoses with stainless banjos as opposed to the current steel
(rusty) ones, resprayed wheels, re-polish swing arm, fairing repairs
and general tidy up

have got an S rear wheel with tyre which i'm considering fitting but
not sure how it would look with the 3 spoke front

KR1 Man calling. Saw a girlie on a pink Harley recently! No! I'm not thinking about the 'Sheila's Wheels' shade on a KR1, but Fiat produced a late model Uno in an interesting sort of bubblegum shade. Using the KR1-S layout, change black for slate grey, change green for the bubblegum, with white competition panels (instead of yellow), white wheels, plenty of lacquer and stripped/lacqured frame sidebeams. Actually saw something like this done on an 'S' about a year ago. (google) and it actually suited the bike very well! Although Big K never did this, I must say it looked very 'Jap Market Only' especially when you consider Big Y actually did produce a TURQUOISE 3MA!!! All the best, KR1 Man.

The w/g/b of the first generation KR-1 is the best colour scheme of all 8)

Yours looks even better (including the stickers, which usually I hate) especially the modded bellypan.

It really does add something to the bike 8)

Looking really nice Garry. Was the frame polished when i saw the bike last? I like the yellow hoses to, i very nearly went for that colour.

i always liked the g/w/b colour scheme - reminded me in a way of
the RC30 at the time - just lacked the number board on the seat

the frame was polished cliff - just not to your high standard

the hose isn't a hose - its a cover from aerotek (bought it before
sean made his hoses) - i'll get the proper item eventually

didn't get it finished at the weekend and i've just been summoned in
