The 35mm carbs don't run well at all at tick over and they take a bit of effort to set up but are sure worth the effort. What main jets and needles are you running?

i have a pair airstriker 35mm from the states..a bargain 175 quid delivered...
i have a few pics for you mate of some kdx200 inlet rubbers..pre 89 so straight..perhaps someone can make some..as the supply is running out..in fact it has???from the states..rare as you know what...mine are self made ..kx125 with inlet tubes modied from allens performance..and a adhesive rubber..its chemical compound that is used for making rubber parts ..the first ones ...cracked .. speak to ya later..i hope..thanks..Elf

I'm running DEL needles which are a tad richer on the taper than your's. Have you got the air strikers fitted now, they are supposed to be a good upgrade on the standard carb and are supposed to improve the preformance when you ram the throttle full back by eliminating the effect where the carbs go lean for a split second due to the sudden increased air flow (bit like an acceleration pump).

As for main jets I'm running a lot richer than you, but with normal PWK35 full air ram and Jim Lomas race exhausts, according to my jetting chart at 1000mb 20^C at 65% humidy I'm running a 158 main jet.

Just checked my jetting chart for standard exhausts and there is about a one and a half size richer jet difference between the same bike on JL exhausts compared to standard.

i ran the DEN then L and Happy with K now..the 155 jets were tad rich thats why went with the taper change on the needle..as with a road bike its stop start ...as you know...
The Airstriker are for the next project... iam currently having it done by Graham File ..he is doing the full biz to it...i am a sucker for punishment..sad i know...
Its the rear of the carb it has a triangle taper which forces the air...and and an overloop air sytem from the head of the carb ..ill post some pics for you ...if you like so you can see the diff..

If you make some moulds from those rubbers you can make new one's from them.

lucky git finding the kdx ''straight'' inlet rubbers. would pay as much as i had to for a set of new rubbers based on the kdx ones. good to hear from you anyway ''controversial one''!!! lol. bike still looks lovely and i can confirm that the motors built by stan are missiles at least in race form. i imagine the same applies for road tunes and so on. if i were to pay a tuner now though, graham file would be my no.1 choice. reputedly the best race tuner in britian of 2 strokes and apart from the inevitable cost have yet to hear 1 complaint. good move on your part, cant wait to hear how impressed you will be! i have seen the airstiker carbs and look forward to hearing how you get on with them compared to the usual pwk 35's. btw, your not the only one to use the queens highway as a test track!! yes i know its a bit naughty but i bet there are a few that do it inc me. tut tut! nice to hear from you wakasaki anyway cheers matt. ps the more pics the merrier!!

Hi There, I haven't seen your bike before, I think you've done a cracking job on it, I like the mix of original and up to date parts and your attention to detail is superb, but you've probably heard this already!!! :) Regards Mark.
