Just got back from Snetterton all was going well untill the last session! smoke started pouring out of the right hand exhaust, but no rattles or knocks & engine still runs fine?? what do you think crankshaft oil seal?
I feel I must comment on the pfm/fireblade front brake set up though! bloody awsome!! def recommend these, one finger braking & powerfull enough to launch you over the front! "& no i didn't"
As said...
if the gearbox oil has gone down yep...
And if it is the main oil seal right crankside
Its a rebuild ..because the primary drive gear
is pressed heated...
and they normally weld them after a rebuild / after balancing..
ooohhhhhhhhhhhh.......
Still worse things happen...
Just taken the barrels off, no sign of head gasket leak, coolant loss or geabox oil loss! but i have found different size oil feed pipes going to the inlet rubbers, right side crancase has an excessive amount of (red) two stroke oil sitting in it, one of the oil check valves also seems to be missing the right side where the smoke is!
So just ordered new rings, base gaskets, little ends & carb mounting rubbers. But i need a new set of oil feed pipes complete with all the fittings (not available from mr K anymore) does anyone have a set please!!! [-o< happy to pay for them. Hopefully this is the problem

I have a spare set you could have, but probably so does one of the UK-gentlemen
I have come across a blocked check valve before, it was after a bike had been laid up in a damp garage for a couple of years. Freed it with a pin and WD 40.
Possible yours had been blocked at some time, and some "mechanic" has fixed it by cutting it off.
Cliff did it give the same symptoms as i had, excessive smoke?

The side that was blocked never smoked at all, thats why i looked into it and read about the check valve. I reckon that they must hold back the flow of oil slightly as the pressure has to pass through a ball/spring thingy.
If one of your valves are missing, i would think it will allow more oil to travel down that tube , thus more smoke. Hopefully that will be it.
